Nanostructures, nanosystems and nanotechnologies.

Study of self-assembled nanostructures in polymeric materials. Synthesis and physico-chemical characterization of new polymers using living organometallic catalysts. Study of the structural, physical and mechanical properties of natural or synthetic polymers assembling in nanostructures or synthetic membranes. Physico-chemical characterization of nanosystems by wide and small-angle X-ray diffraction (WAXS and SAXS), light scattering (DLS and SLS), neutron scattering (SANS and NR), and resonance spectroscopy techniques (EPR and NMR on liquid and solid samples). Surfaces functionalization with proteins, aptamers, antitumor drugs and diagnostic agents and their applications to nanotechnology. Polymeric thin films. Nano-patterning of thin film surfaces through formation of nanostructures by self-assembly of polymers and selective etching of nanodomains. Applications to sensors and micro-electronics.
