Geometry

In the Geometry group it is possible to distinguish three main research lines:

  • Algebraic geometry: varieties with just one singular point; Cohen-Macaulay varieties, Hilbert polynomials, Hilbert functions. Hodge Theory, Noether-Lefschetz Theory, monodromy groups, Theta functions and adelic groups, complex multiplications on abelian varieties. Varieties with osculating defect, varieties with multiosculating spaces, algebraic varieties satisfying Laplace equations, varieties with "few" apparent double points, Computational Algebraic Geometry.
  • Combinatorial geometry: Incidence Geometries, Finite Geometries, Finite Semifields, PN-function and APN-function.
  • Topology: Cohomology of commutative Hopf algebras, invariant theory, cohomology theories and operations.
