Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale

The research covers typical issues of Industrial Engineering. It aims to: contribute to the cultural, social and economic development of the territory consolidated as a reference point for the manufacturing; promote technology transfer and innovation, including the economic development of research results; promote activities conducive to the acquisition of external funding and strengthening of relationships with businesses. The affinity and contiguity of skills and knowledge of the different scientific areas within the department are confirmed by long experience of cooperation in scientific and educational research projects, university courses of study and university masters. The Department hosts Ph.D. School in Industrial Engineering with three curricula: Energetic and Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace and Naval Engineering and Quality and Management Engineering. The PhD program in Industrial Engineering aims to train highly qualified professionals, able to fit in mechanical, marine, aerospace industry and management, both nationally and internationally. The Department also participates in the doctoral program "Technology, Innovation and Management" with the administrative headquarters at the University of Bergamo. This highly interdisciplinary doctorate proposes the creation of professionals able to operate among technology, business and society.
