The Pasta-Lab research group has its focus on vibroacoustics and non-linear structural analyses. Behind any problems, the group has been motivated and guided by the principle of increasing complexity. Each engineering problem has to be faced by using simple models and/or looking at the state-of-art, since it is agreed that any innovation can be based only on a solid background experience. This is a list of the main and routine activities developed with theoretical, numerical and experimental tools: modal analysis, forced response, impact response and crashworthiness, interior/exterior noise measurements and characterizations, structural damping and acoustic transmission loss measurements, assembling and verification of predictive numerical models.
