ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC MEASUREMENT

This research area is related to the definition of methods and procedures to perform measurements by means of electric and electronic technologies of any kind of physical phenomenon, which could be of interest to industry, people, environment. In particular, research deals with the design, production, characterization, calibration and testing of measurement instruments.
From a broader perspective, research developed in this field encompasses the following themes: metrology, measurement methods, measurement instruments, sensors and transducers, as well as the applications of measurements techniques to assess the quality of processes, components and systems.
Fall within the scope of this area a number of research issues, including: experimental data analysis, experimental uncertainty analysis, reliability data analysis, signal and image processing, and quality engineering.
