ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

This research area relates to the theoretical and experimental aspects of electromagnetic fields and circuits as well as to their applications to all fields of Engineering.
Research on electromagnetic fields deals with the following problems: field problems, electromagnetic compatibility, signal integrity, electro- and magneto-fluid-dynamics, modeling and diagnosis of electromagnetic properties of materials and systems on a macro-, mini- and nano-scale.
Research on circuits deals with both electrical and electronic circuits, nano-circuits, bio-circuits and their modeling.
These two research lines are both applied to the analysis, synthesis, modeling and design of electrical and electronic equipments, devices and systems, as well as to plasma engineering, controlled thermonuclear fusion, particle accelerators, superconductivity, electromagnetic compatibility, and, more generally, to security, safety, environmental impact of electromagnetic fields and of electrical applications.
