BIOINGEGNERIA ELETTRONICA E INFORMATICA

This research area aims at is related to the establishment of an integrated body of multidisciplinary engineering methodologies and technologies with Life Sciences and Medicine.
In particular, the following topics fall within the scope of the research activities developed in this area:
- multi-scale modeling of biological and physiological systems (spanning from the molecular-cellular level up to the functional level);
- design, production, calibration and testing of instrumentation for bio-signals and bio-images acquisition, analysis and processing;
- design, production, calibration and testing of biomedical instrumentation and equipments for diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitation purposes;
- prosthesis, biomedical robots and artificial intelligence systems;
- healthcare information and management systems, medical informatics and telemedicine;
- biomaterials and biomechanical structures analysis and characterization.
