Plant Biology and Crop Science

The Division has multidisciplinary competences for the analysis, preservation and development of agricultural and natural ecosystems. These activities are also performed through: study of cropping systems producing food, fuel, wood and other benefits, analyses of environmental interactions (e.g. between soil and climate), socio-cultural applications (e.g. green urban area management, landscape protection), services in support of farm enterprise development (development of technologies, transfer and application of knowledge in the field of botany, eco-physiology, agronomy). Main research  areas in the Division include:

  • Plant and agricultural biology and ecology;
  • Analysis of production factors and agricultural technologies;
  • Crop systems
